
I love running and I love helping other people achieve their goals. So coaching seemed to be an obvious fit. I am a certified Endurance Club Coach through NCCP and Athletics Canada along with also having my certified strength and conditioning specialist through NSCA.
I have coached at many levels. I have learned a lot from all of the experiences. One of the many things I love about running is that there is always something to be learned, if you let yourself. Coaching has really allowed me to have a greater understanding of my own personal running and how to better help others run. As a runner myself I have experience first hand with the ups & downs that come along with running. It has broken my heart on more than one occasion but it always has me coming back.
I am one of three Nike Toronto run coaches and have been for over four years. At the end of 2018 I started my own run group called StrideWise Running. My inspiration came from seeing a need within the community. I had been doing some online coaching previously so decided to go for it and create my own group! SW has a special place in my heart as the name comes from my late fathers (who was my number one fan) initials.
My mission as a coach is to help inspire you to be the best runner you can be not only physically but also mentally/emotionally. I want to lead by example. I realize that being a decent runner does not automatically make me a good coach. What makes me a good coach is my genuine deisire to help others!
