I have been a practicing chiropractor for 7 years now (*time flies!). I have been working at The Runner’s Academy for 6 of those years and I absolutely LOVE IT!
I spend a lot of time trying to help people to optimize their movement. Rather than just trying to get their pain to go away I am always looking at why it happened and how we can fix the problem taking in to account the whole person.
One of my favourite things to do is to assess and help people with their running gait. Running is a very repetitive motion and so it is imperative to take it in to account when treating running injuries.
I have had my fair share of running related injuries and so am very empathetic to my patients issues. No better way to learn than to do, right?!
